The tender for constructing the Koivusaari metro station has been won by SRV

SRV Rakennus Oy and Länsimetro Oy have signed an agreement on the construction of the Koivusaari station on the west metro line. The work will commence immediately, with the station due for completion in late 2015. The total contract price is approximately EUR 29 million. The station will be built as a project management contract.
All station and rail line contracts have now been awarded except for Niittykumpu station. The Niittykumpu building contract will be under tender calculation in January-February, and the contract awarded in March.

“Construction work at the stations and along the rail line is in full swing. Nine per cent of concrete pouring is complete, and more than eight kilometres of sustaining wall elements have been installed,” says Länsimetro CEO Matti Kokkinen.

Excavations are now 99.9% complete. Rock plugs are still in place at Tontunmäki and Matinsolmu in Espoo. Excavation at Tontunmäki will be completed this month, and shaft and tunnel excavations at Matinsolmu in February,” says CEO Kokkinen.
