The metro environment includes a wide range of interconnected systems. These include railway systems that support train operations, as well as building technology systems that manage conditions in stations and tunnels. Safety and monitoring
Metro stations, tunnels, emergency routes, lifts, escalators, doors, smoke extraction systems and alarms are monitored in real time. Metro control personnel monitor system data and respond to any deviations or incidents.
The systems operate together as an integrated whole. Information from one system can automatically trigger actions in others, enabling a rapid and coordinated response in exceptional situations. For example, if a fire alarm detects smoke, evacuation announcements and other safety systems can be activated automatically when required.
