Busking areas in metro stations

Are you interested in performing at a metro station? You are warmly welcome to perform at the busking areas listed below.

  • The areas are intended for short (1–2h) performances, such as street music or other small performances.
  • The busking places cannot be reserved in advance, but can be used on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
  • Before starting a performance, please inform the metro’s security guards. If you cannot find a security guard at the metro station, you may begin performing. The security guards have the right to interrupt a performance if it disrupts the station’s operations.
  • The busking areas are not intended to be used to market or promote a private company or commercial product, or any ideological, religious or political stances.

The busking areas are:

At Lauttasaari metro station

  • The busking area at the Lauttasaari station is located in the ticket area of entrance B, left of the escalators.

At Aalto University metro station

  • The busking area at Aalto University metro station is in the ticket area of entrance A, on the same level as the shopping centre.

At Tapiola metro station

  • The busking area at Tapiola metro station is on the bus terminal level, near the elevators and escalators.

At Urheilupuisto metro station

  • The busking area at Urheilupuisto metro station is next to the ticket machine, opposite the R-Kioski.

  • The other busking area is opposite the escalators, next to the windows. NB! This area is in the paid zone, which means buskers must have a valid travel ticket.

The security guards have the right to interrupt a performance during the events in Tapiola Sports Park if it disrupts the station’s operations and security.

At Niittykumpu metro station

  • The busking area is on the mezzanine level of the metro station, opposite the escalators, next to the ticket machine.

At Matinkylä metro station

  • The busking area is located on the mezzanine level that leads to the Suomenlahdentie and Tynnyritie entrance. Entrances E and D.

At Finnoo metro station

The busking areas are located at the Finnoonsilta entrance (entrance C).

  • Area A: Finnoonsilta entrance, next to the windows. NB: Area A is in the paid zone, which means buskers must have a valid travel ticket.
  • Area B: Finnoonsilta entrance, by the wall next to the entrance door.

  • Area C: The recessed area along the long corridor of the Finnoonsilta entrance’s mezzanine level. NB! This area is in the paid zone, which means buskers must have a valid travel ticket.

At Kaitaa metro station

  • The busking area is at the Kaitaantie entrance (entrance A), by the wall of the recessed area, across from the restrooms.

At Soukka metro station

The busking areas are located at the Yläkartanontie entrance (entrance C).

  • Yläkartanontie entrance, street level, by the wall in front of the restrooms.

  • On the mezzanine level of the Yläkartanontie entrance, in the corridor by the wall and in the corner.

At Espoonlahti metro station

  • The busking area is located at the entrance on the Solmutori side (entrance A–B), next to the ticket readers.

At Kivenlahti metro station

  • The busking area is at the Kivenlahdentori entrance (entrance A), by the wall next to the restrooms. NB. This area is in the paid zone, which means buskers must have a valid travel ticket.
