SRV Infra will begin superstructure construction for the eastern entrance of Kaitaa station in week 27. The work will begin with the redirection of traffic and the felling of trees in the worksite area. The worksite area will be fenced off and the topsoil will be removed, after which work will continue on pile planking and excavation. Open excavation will be performed in the area; first a shaft will be excavated through open excavation and then via the tunnel below. Signals will be sounded to warn about the open excavation. The open excavation phase will last 4 to 5 months.
The working hours for all phases of superstructure construction are Monday to Friday, 7.00 to 18.00.
