The construction of district heating is starting up on the West Metro’s Kivenlahti contract, at the entrance to the metro station on Kivenlahdentie. The work will begin in the week starting on 23 September and it is expected to be completed by the end of October.
The district heating route will be dug underneath the pedestrian and bike path at the intersection of Lainepolku and Kivenlahdentie. The pedestrian and bike path will remain open during the work as ramps will be installed for the duration.
The work will be carried out by Fortum’s subcontractor, which will also take care of traffic arrangements while the work continues.
