Rail ballast will be loaded at the worksite base of the West Metro rail line on Hyljetie during the work hours specified by the Espoo City Environment Agency, i.e. on weekdays between 7.00 a.m. and 9.00 p.m. The loading area is marked in red on the map below. The loading of ballast will continue until the end of March 2021.
The rail ballast loading is related to the metro rail line’s superstructures contract, which started in June 2020. The contract covers the laying of ballast, as well as the installation of cable ducts, sleepers, rails and the conductor rail.
