Länsimetro owns and develops reliable metro infrastructure in the Helsinki metropolitan area. We are a specialist organisation responsible for the ownership, lifecycle management, development and construction of metro infrastructure. By ensuring that the metro infrastructure remains safe, reliable and well maintained, we help make everyday travel smoother for hundreds of thousands of passengers.
Länsimetro is a small organisation of 16 specialists. We have unique expertise in metro infrastructure lifecycle management, maintenance and property services, as well as in the development and construction of metro infrastructure. Our work is meaningful: the West Metro is a vital part of public transport in the Helsinki metropolitan area, and its performance is reflected directly in passengers’ everyday travel experience.
Collaboration is an essential part of our work. We work closely with public transport operators, the owner cities of Espoo and Helsinki, and numerous other partners. We continuously develop our operations together with our stakeholders and take responsibility for maintaining a high level of expertise and professionalism.
