Summary of Länsimetro’s meeting of the Board of Directors on 17 December 2020

The Project Manager submitted a status report on the construction and cost monitoring of the Matinkylä–Kivenlahti section to the Board through the war room’s monitoring view. Construction is progressing in line with the project plan’s risk-assessed schedule and budget.

Länsimetro Oy’s Technical Director presented the situation for the Matinkylä–Kivenlahti section’s commissioning plan. The commissioning plan is proceeding on schedule.

The Board of Directors authorised the CEO to sign an agreement on tasks related to the preparations for the commissioning of the Matinkylä–Kivenlahti section and the actual commissioning phase with HKL. The tasks are linked to control room services and test runs, among other things.

The Board of Directors approved Länsimetro Oy’s budget proposal for 2021.

Länsimetro Oy’s CFO presented the cost monitoring for the Matinkylä-Kivenlahti section. Construction is progressing in line with the project plan’s budget. The CFO also presented the schedule for the financial statements 2020.

The CEO presented Länsimetro Oy’s recruitments.

The next meeting of the Board of Directors will be held on 28 January 2021.

Summary of Länsimetro’s meeting of the Board of Directors on 19 November 2020

The Project Manager submitted a status report on the construction and cost monitoring of the Matinkylä–Kivenlahti section to the Board through the war room’s monitoring view. Construction is progressing in line with the project plan’s risk-assessed schedule and budget.

Länsimetro Oy’s Technical Director presented the situation for the Matinkylä–Kivenlahti section’s commissioning plan. The commissioning plan is proceeding on schedule.

The Board of Directors decided to procure the management of the Sammalvuori depot commissioning follow-up work and maintenance tasks for the Matinkylä–Kivenlahti project from Sweco PM Oy based on the framework agreement (27 October 2017).

Länsimetro Oy’s CFO presented the cost monitoring for the Matinkylä-Kivenlahti section. Construction is progressing in line with the project plan’s budget.

The Director of Communications presented the DESIGN.TUNNE.METRO. video series produced on the Ruoholahti–Matinkylä section of the West Metro. The goal of the series is to spotlight the design and details behind the stations’ architecture.

The next meeting of the Board of Directors will be held on 17 December 2020.

Rock wedging work at Soukantori in the first two weeks of 2021

Rock will be removed by means of wedging at the Soukka metro station’s Soukantori entrance starting on 4 January 2021. The work will last for two weeks. The wedging will take place in the area of the map marked in blue, at the address Soukantie 14. Drilling is part of the wedging work, and it will cause minor noise in the immediate environment. The drilling will be carried out during the work hours specified by the Espoo City Environment Agency, i.e. on weekdays between 7.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. No wedging will be carried out on Epiphany (6 January 2021).

Rock is being removed from the Soukantori entrance to ensure access to the bicycle parking area.
