At 600 metre intervals, the metro tunnels have an exit, smoke extraction, pressure stabilization and air circulation shafts reaching ground level. In the middle of the shafts there is a firesectioned exit staircase. The total number of vertical shafts is 15.
The parts of the vertical shafts that extend above the ground are positioned in public street and park areas. The shape, structure and external surface material will be designed accordning to the conditions and requirements of the environment.
