The construction of the west metro has commenced with the excavation of the southern and eastern access tunnels in the vicinity of the Tapiola shopping centre. Peab Infra Oy and YIT Rakennus Oy have been contracted for the work by the City of Espoo.
Properties located close to the access tunnels are being inspected prior to the commencement of construction. The inspections are being performed by Oy Finnrock Ab, who are providing information for the residents prior to the inspections.
The dog enclosure was transferred
In connection with metro construction, the dog enclosure in the area of Tuuliniitty was transferred 200 metres to the south to the site of the former playing field. The enclosure was moved because a maintenance and access tunnel for the west metro and Tapiola underground central parking facility will be constructed at the site.
